Christmas where I grew up, a long, long time ago in a city far, far away. Christmas where I grew up. Where are the boomerang curtains? Must have been my first Christmas; I'm the little one on the left. Dig that crazy decor!
My older brother hanging his stocking... My brother's HO train. He always had the cooler toys! My brother, later, with some more cool toys.
We used to get a lot of snow up there. My dad couldn't even pull the car into the driveway! Another Christmas after we'd moved to Dallas. My baby brother on the left; me on the right. I was probably about 21. Yes, that's a box of steam curlers I'm opening. My mom always wanted me to have curly hair. Ha! Hopeless cause...
Terry and I used to get trees when we live in a small house in the Clarksville (Old West Austin) neighborhood. This was one of them. We have great tree ornaments! I loved this fake fireplace at our old house on 10th St. Stockings hung for Christmas. Marvin all snug in his bowl. Our current house; one year I put up lights outside. Then Terry became extremely energy-conscious. Lights, anyone?
I don't know how people find a place in small houses to put trees. This is what we now use for a tree. Keeping it modest. Must have been 2006; old art on the walls. Terry on Christmas morning a few years ago. Old art... Christmas 2010. My anniversary flowers still smell so great a few day later!
Christmas 2010. I got a globe! It's so cool! Now I can see what cities are on the same latitude, like Austin and Agadir, Morocco. Merry Newtonmas! I also got a gyroscope. I've always wanted a gyroscope!
Happy birthday, Isaac Newton! I love my gyroscope. Soap. I'll be clean and smell good, be upright, and know just where I am! Plus I'll have toasty tootsies (got some new bootie slippers, too). :D
